Went to the Red Lion for the first time today for lunch. Good choice of food on the menu. Our food was excellent both starter and main course, well cooked and delicious. Very good value for money. My only criticism was that the service was very slow considering that there were only three covers. Although slow the staff were very pleasant. Ordered a take-away Roast as im 3 weeks post surgery and didn’t feel like cooking. Well!!!! If THIS is the food you get from them, boxed and delivered I cannot wait to be well enough to visit in person!! Well worth the cost, delicious and extremely generous portions. I will be ordering a smaller one for myself next time. Thank you guys for making my Sunday!!! Ordered a Lamb, Beef and Chicken (couldn’t get pic of beef).

Very nice place to meet your friends, have a good meal and chat over a drink or two. Very clean and friendly place. Nice to see proper table linen for a change. The only downer was an unwelcome 10% service charge. I only noticed after I paid and left a decent tip. Won't catch me again.
