Probably the best pub in Guildford. Maybe small but got great atmosphere with good ales and overall good selection of drinks. Always spotless! Have been winning awards for the best beer garden in the last few years from 'Guildford in Bloom' competition
This is the 2nd year running that a group of us (6 men of a ‘certain age’) have gone for Christmas dinner. The food was once again excellent - as was the service of our ‘hostess’ (Elie). The only marginal ‘downside’ was that - because the bar was so busy - we couldn’t be offered ‘table service’ for replenishment of our drinks. That meant that one of us had to stand in a queue for 10 minutes in the middle of our meal to get served with our drinks. Not ideal.

Great local , watched the rugby, England v Scotland, pub busy and buzzy, had no problems getting served , as there was enough staff working, great selection of beers and spirits , can't comment on food as did not eat .The pub had people of all ages, all enjoying a good night.
