Just had delicious Sunday lunch at King William IV. The pub has improved hugely since we were last there (before lockdown), it feels fresher, cleaner and well maintained. Friendly and helpful staff who do care about their customers. Special shout out to Mari, Jack, Jack (mngr) and the chef! Thankyou, we’ll definitely be popping in more regularly again.
I was very pleased to find that the King William IV has re-opened, under new ownership presumably but the premises have not changed a lot and the menu has a few more of the good-value lunches that we enjoy. My wife had a generous bacon and brie baguette, happily free from ingredients you would never add at home. Cosy and warm, traditional pub environment. All the staff and Landlord are especially welcoming. The vegan stuffed aubergine dish I had was delicious.
