I visited for the second time and was disappointed with my meal. I had the tomato soup it was watering and tasteless , and was barely warm,it wasn’t rich and unctuous which tomato and Basil usually is , the roll was microwaved which anyone knows they go chewy. The salmon fish cake was pleasant but the poached egg was not soft , I ordered some vegetables I actually got a dish of cabbage and a bit of leek , it was tough and cold yuk. It was okay...Nice looking pub and had a really nice pub garden. Food was okay but expensive for what it was. Service was also very slow, ended up going up to get the the receipt and pay in the end as we were waiting so long. Overall it was nice but probably wouldn't rush back
Popped in on a hot Friday night for drinks with friends. Pub very busy inside and out. Constant stream of food leaving the kitchen and a busy bar. The impression was that all the staff seemed to have it under control. Asked for a de-caf coffee which was not available then 20 minutes later a different lady came over to say they'd found the other bag of beans - all done with humour and style.
