We stopped here for a quick lunch before visiting the Fuller's brewery. The pub is located just next to the river (if you can get a table outside the view is very nice), lovely decorated (lots of artefacts related to the river, of course), staff is nice and friendly. I had booked two separate tables and I was informed in advance that they were going to be allocated in 2x separate rooms as they wouldn’t allow for a booking of more than 8 people on a table, but when we arrived I was pleasantly surprised to see that in the end the staff accommodated my booking to sit us all together by the captain’s table area. Busy, slow service, expensive for what you get. Average tasting.Also got served an alcoholic drink when we ordered a non-alcoholic drink. Not great if you're pregnant, an alcoholic or awaiting surgery.
