Booked Sunday Roast for 4, which we were told on arrival, had not been available for a few weeks and was not going to be available until possibly next week.The restaurant was totally empty, which made the atmosphere awkward and we soon realised why this might be the case. The rich, smoky flavors were a delight to the palate. The tender, perfectly cooked meat showcased their culinary expertise. Combined with their welcoming atmosphere and friendly service, it was a memorable dining experience I can't wait to revisit.
This pub really does need to be refurbished. We were staying at the Premier Inn next door for four nights & there were three occasions where our menu choices weren't available. However - the staff were amazing! I was with my 90 year old mother and they really looked after us each morning and night. They were very friendly, service was always with a smile and nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast & dinner was always fresh and red hot. A big thank you to John, Ian & Sheila!
