Bird In Hand - Woking

This review is long overdue! After spending a significant amount of time searching for a spot to enjoy a pub meal at an establishment with good vegetarian options, I stumbled upon this place. It did not disappoint. The staff were lovely, the food was fresh and delicious and I absolutely loved the vibe of this place. It’s so rare to find spacious dining. This meal felt private and the table could perfectly fit on everything we ordered. Trust me when I say, there was a lot of food involved. The Camembert sharing platter was definitely the star. The jams were divine. Personally, I would save this place for a special occasion because it deserves that ode. But I think they do live music so don’t limit your visits to birthdays and anniversaries if that’s what you enjoy!

The Red Lion

Superbe food and service. Excellent garden area with a massive gold fish tank. Very entertaining. Food is not cheap but very good quality.

Parking: Parking is round the back of the pub.

The Red Lion, Horsell

We came here for a family lunch during the week. Once again, we were not disappointed. The staff are exceptionally friendly and welcoming, especially Monika, who looked after our table magnificently. She is a true asset to the pub. The food was delicious; in particular the Special of grilled sea bass with herb cous cous. It was one of the tastiest meals we’d eaten in a long time. Thank you.

Beit Beirut

Amazing experience in this lovely Lebanese restaurant, Daniel made our night with professional and warm service, the food was to die for and overall a great place to go for a nice dinner, will definitely visit again.

Everest Spice Woking

All absolutely delicious especially the Chopilo Kukhura chicken curry, the fresh light nann bread, the prawn curry too was really delicious highly recommended. Wish we didn’t live in Western Australia otherwise this would be our top choice 6 stars and the service was excellent, very knowledgeable and friendly

Nags Head Inn Woking

Visited on a Sunday for a roast with family (5 of us) as this is now our new local pub. We couldn’t fault the service, a good range of options for food, not too busy, the atmosphere is lovely and all of the staff are really friendly (Erin our waitress was fantastic).

Poppins Woking

Just can't fault this place. They do everything right. Food, service and value. As out of towners, we considered a few other places which sold themselves as more up-market, and honestly, more our usual m.o., before deciding to give this place a go. Glad we did.

Latino Ristorante Italiano

We had the Pollo ai Funghi. This is my go to dish when eating Italian. Food was delicious and portion size good too with plenty of mushrooms.
We had Tiramisu for dessert and drank wine and bottled water.

Toby Cottage Restaurant

Amazing meal which we was made even better by the hilarious and very attentive staff. Have an old fashioned style dessert trolley which almost no where else does anymore.

Bulgogi

Ordered Kimchi Soup, was surprise that it comes with the sides that we normally have to pay in other places.
Food quality is amazing and the portion definitely worth the price.
Staffs are also super nice, they are very responsive and at the end they give you warm napkin which I felt being very well treated.
The only downside lacking variety of food, but I rather have good food tbh.
I would say this is the best Korean Restaurant in Surrey. Will come back again :)

Pepe's

Amazing place,people and food. The lovely lady who works there has been amazing always especially to my son who has grown with pepes nuggets. He is a regular there with his dad. Food is lovely as always.ppace is always clean and service is amazing.

The Horsell Kitchen

We had one of the best ever full english breakfast since living in UK. The food was served very quickly. The enviroment is cozy. Usually in other places I used to enjoy just one part of the plate like the sausage or the eggs etc but in this place every part of the dish was well cooked and with good quality of food. Well done. We will comeback for sure.

The Drumming Snipe

We love a Friday 2-4-1 cocktail, so much so, we had to plan a dinner visit to the Mayford local. Service is great, food is lovely but on the expensive side, overall experience was great.
Dishes feasted upon this time:
• Rock oysters
• Whitebait
• Monkfish scampi, gribiche
• Plaice, fava beans, brown butter
• Beef short rib, leeks, sweetbreads

The Sun Inn

Grace is a stand out. Atrentive, nothing was a problem and always wanting to please.

Slug & Lettuce - Woking

Came in over the weekend and received absolutely amazing service. The team that were working were quick and very polite even when they were busy. The drinks we had were made to perfection and when asking what their recommendations were they suggested the Peach Paloma which was really refreshing. Plus the food was really tasty and hot. Also the atmosphere in the evening was awesome the music, lights and DJ was great. Will definitely be coming back with friends next time so they can experience it as well.

Royal Oak

Very lovely staff and nice atmosphere, the food was great, the signature burger was very tasty and fulfilling, been a couple of time and would always come back and recommend and a great place for a drink and some food.

Rosso Mazara

Absolutely fantastic experience at Rosso Mazara. The food is truly authentic – easily one of the best pizzas I’ve had outside of Italy. You can really taste the quality and attention to detail in every bite.

The service was also excellent – friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout.

Will definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend!

The White Hart

Great food, both really enjoyed it, great beer, of anything at all food service maybe a little too quick but it was valentine's so probably had lots of bookings to get through

Ripley Curry Garden

The food was absolutely exquisite! Very unique and complex flavours. Best curry I’ve ever had outside of a Michelin Star. Service was also excellent and the Kingfisher lager was conditioned perfectly.

The Inn at West End

We absolutely love staying here! From the moment we arrive, the staff go out of their way to make us — and our dog — feel genuinely welcome. What truly sets this place apart is how pet-friendly they are. Our dog is treated like a valued guest, not just an add-on, which means the world to us. The Seven Stars

This pub is awesome. We really feel at home here. After being at Wisley Gardens we like to come here to have lunch. You see people coming in for a drink after a walk. Dogs are welcome inside. Good selection of delicious food. Really friendly staff. Just can’t fault this place. If I could give it seven stars then I would.

It's absolutely lovely in this pub. Fabulous staff and fabulous food. Proper pub grub, absolutely loved it. A really good lunch stop not had dinner but I'm sure that'll be fab as well

The Anchor

We had a fabulous meal - the tasting menu - last night at the Ripley Anchor. Every course was beautifully presented and tasted wonderful and was accompanied by delightful service. We will definitely be back.

Fresch Coffee House

We used this company for a corporate breakfast. Not only was the food amazing but the service leading up to it was also incredible!! Really timely reply's and accommodating for all types of dietary requirements. I couldn't recommend more!!!

White Hart Pirbright

We live in Pirbright and have known The White Hart for many years. Visited in January to see recent refurbishments and were very impressed. In particular we wish to mention two staff who waited on our table. Nick and Will were outstanding. Each enhanced our experience. Both were thoughtful, efficient and entertaining, each an absolute delight who deserve their own particular mention.

Soya Woking

Been to the restaurant many times but ordered a takeaway this evening. Arrived quickly and hot and as always, so delicious. Highly recommended and will order again. Staff are great.

East West

Really enjoyed my delivery. Indian take outs can be very hit and miss but I was really impressed with this one. The Meal for one was excellent! I had the lamb Madras. Good value for money as well. The only thing I would change is to give the option of changing to a garlic naan rather than plain.
I look forward to visiting the restaurant soon.

Oh wow !! Best roe I've ever been served , all cooked fresh I'd broken down in the school had been up since 0230 and waited 5 hours 20 for recovery still no sign saw the reviews if she shop and had to try them out .well with the money and age wall delicious food.

Blue India Chobham

The best Indian restaurant in Surrey food is fantastic and the staff are amazing especially Lafi and Rimon keep up the great work and see you very soon.

I always drop by this SB branch when going to Waterloo. It's sad that this branch does not honor the SB rewards system and hopefully would be considered. I had my usual drink today and as always spot on thanks to the very nice barista Sharifa!

The Cosy Coffee House.

Love love love everything about The Cozy! I have been going there for a couple of years and it just keeps getting better and better! The food is lovely, the staff are so welcoming, the atmosphere is is great and the work they do for the community is truly amazing!

Couldn’t recommend it more! :)

Knaphill Fish Bar

We travelled up from Cornwall but I wish I could take this proper chippy back with me. Absolutely delightful proprietor with a passion for quality food and first rate service.
Prices were absolutely right for this- and I’ve paid more for either a so-so meal or lacklustre service. Portions were generous, happy bellies, happy tastebuds and a happy experience all round. A solid 5 stars. Thank you.
Oh… and…cash only- so head to the nearby cashpoint at the garage just a few metres down the road if you need cash first.

Princess

Nice friendly pub nice choice of beverages food is standard pub grub but very tasty. They have some good bands on here . Had many a great Saturday night here. Nikki and Dave and all the staff are great.

The New Inn

I stopped here as I was worried about dozing off on the A road on a sunday. Paid £10 for a 10/10 jacket potato! Lovely pub vibe with the staffing knowing everyones name. Felt like something out of a 2000s film!

The Saddlers Arms

Very atmospheric old pub with pleasant staff and fast service. Occasional live music ( excellent outdoor performance by Feltham Cicadas on recent May bank holiday).

The Garibaldi

Had the 8oz Smokedhouse Steak with fried eggs on a bed of posh Mac & Cheese with roasted cherry tomatoes-on-the-vine. It was delicious, the meat was very tender and cooked to medium to perfection. The Mac & Cheese and roasted tomatoes were very tasty. Overall a wonderfull meal.

The SHIP INN

Wonderful 500 year old pub with tons of history. Great and friendly service. Atmosphere is neat, used to be the sailors stop to re- horse on the way to Portsmouth.

Heather Farm Cafe

Had the mexican burger it was a 30min wait , the meat was dry and close to burnt. We used to go more frequently and spoke highly of the food.
Especially the goats cheese salad for example.
I don't know if there is a new chef or corners have been cut but the standards seem to have dropped in the cooking quality. I'll visit again in a few weeks to see if this was a one off.

The Café at Christ Church - the cafe is inside the church

On a whim I went into this place because the library was full, and I wanted to avoid the usual coffee chains. The interior is gorgeous, the food/drink is reasonably priced (though on the upper end) but the service I got was so lovely. I asked a staff about plug sockets and where I could sit to least be an inconvenience and they went above and beyond!

We had a lovely meal on our way back from RHS Wisley.
The staff all went out of there way to ensure we were well served and enjoyed our meal and drink.

Delicious fish and chips served with great smile by gentle souls serve behind the counter. Everything they sell is halal…well, except pies-but who eats pie when there is delicious fish&chips, Right?

This pub is absolutely fantastic, from the moment I walked in, we were instantly mad to feel welcome. The service was incredible, the atmosphere was that of modern and old with the perfect inviting atmosphere to make me and my family want to come here over and over. We have been many times since and will keep coming for time to come

Cafe Primo Horsell

We love this place. So friendly & full of life- a gem of the area. The pasta is our fav- made from the heart and the sauces are so good, real quality Italian homemade!!\n We tried a couple of their cake slices to go this time and omg they were out of this world! The biscoff cheesecake and apple one.- insanely good.

Nando's Woking

My chicken was was well coated in sauce so it was full of flavour, and it was well cooked (I'm really fussy with chicken!!). I'd called to ask for a couple of additional sauces sachets and that was done without issue. Good experience ??

There orange chicken is proper banging so is there ribs in soy sauce and also if you're not a sissy to spice ? like me they do a nice hot chicken be warned though it's hot

Lovely cafe with great food and coffees for very reasonable prices !! We had a great sit in experience and loved the freshly made toasties. Whilst there saw they also do takeaway so will definitely be backDietary restrictions: I am dairy free and this was easily catered for.

Milano Pizza

Visited Milano Pizza in Woking, good service for take away. Freshly baked pizzas with amazing flavours toppings, highly recommended. It's hard to beat them on taste. Parking on site available along with petrol station and a Tesco Express. They deliver aswell. Xtra large pizza 18" costs only £11.99 collection.

Bakers Dozen

Good quality food and fantastic service! The bakery doubles as the village post office. The range isn’t as extensive as some other bakeries but what they do sell is delicious! The lady behind the counter today was brilliant too - customer focused and service driven! A wonderful little bakery which I’ll be sure to visit again next time I find myself in Brookwood.

Bep Viet Restaurant

Absolutely love the food here at Bep Viet in Woking - whenever we go into town we'll get something from here.\n\nMost recently we enjoyed their vermicelli noodles with barbeque chicken, a beef Pho and baguette but there are many other dishes and combinations we look forward to trying each time.\n\nThe guys there are great. Highly recommended!

The Herbert Wells - JD Wetherspoon

My only hangout when I land in London Gatwick Airport. This pub is super friendly and provides a great atmosphere to relax with a pint. The food is above average but more importantly easy on the pockets with a Monday promotion of 3 small for £10 iso £14.99. Gets very packed on the weekends though so go early to get a seat if you have a large party.

The Flamin Chicken

Hands down the best peri peri chicken I've had today! The flavors were on point, and the chicken was cooked to perfection - juicy and tender. The peri peri sauce added just the right amount of spice and flavor. I ordered the full chicken with lemon and herb sauce and was blown away by the quality. The Fries portion size was generous, and the price was reasonable. Highly recommend! 5 stars isn't enough, I'd give it 10 stars if I could!

Farm Pizza & Kebab (Woking)

I’ve been a regular here for years, yeah i might of had one or two orders that were a bit below par. But on the grander scale of a ordering there every now and then for a few years i think that’s pretty acceptable.

A very busy McDonald’s with great food. However the service is often quite slow and the cleanliness is not great. However if you are shopping and need some nice food I recommend coming here.
