We arrived on a busy Sunday lunchtime to a warm welcome from the friendly landlord for a two night stay with our dog.We had a lovely meal on arrival and the beer was great. The steak and ale pie was fantastic.We were very comfortable in our room and the breakfast was really good too. All in all, a very pleasurable stayNearby activities: Handy field behind pub to walk dog with access for longer walks.

Had a great evening with friends in the backroom for a friends party. The menu had plenty to choose from. Though humble sounding the burger and chips I had myself was lovely. The staff were all friendly and well humoured to put up with us so well!

Super experience here this evening! We were a party of 2 adults and 2 children and were incredibly pleased by the really lovely service for our Friday night fish and chips dinner in the restaurant here. It was a very relaxed atmosphere with very kind and attentive hosts. Nice fresh crispy chips, not at all greasy and nice sized, perfectly cooked fish. We would recommend and certainly will return, thank you ever so much! X

Came here for a bite to eat for lunch and it a lovely experience, really nice pub with a good selection of drinks, great menu which a bit of everything and the service and the staff were amazing!Dog friendly which is always very helpful. Big car park so nice and easy to park with a good seating area out the back. Highly recommend! .Many thanks for a lovely time

The staff and landlord went above & beyond last night... the landlord did a rescue dash to pick up my cycling buddy who was lost in the sticks at 11pm, big thanks to the landlord & the local that called the pub after speaking to him.... my mate missed the locals cheese club ?Nearby activities: CanoeingFood & drinks: Great beer

I had an awesome stay about 3 weeks ago! Pub food was great, there was live music that evening, and everyone in the pub was super friendly. I hope to stay again someday! The room was a bit small, but had everything I needed.
