Went in on Friday evening to order and pay for food for eight people. Took a bit of time to get it, but we left with the order packed in a large paper bag. When we got back to our holiday cottage we found that we were two fish and chips short. The food was fine, but we had to share six portions between eight of us. We enjoyed eating our F&C down by the river on a warm evening and the quality of the food was excellent. However, the Merrie Fryer wasn't particularly cheerful the evening we visited, but you can't have everything I guess?

Lovely fish and chips and their half chicken looked good to. One of the largest cod I've ever seen. The chips were just as they should be, good and crispy and not greasy at all. Was quite busy but it was Friday evening. The staff were friendly
