Good food, good drinks, not too expensive by today's standards. There's a student room and a locals room, so if you identify as one or the other, there is a space for you.
We were traveling around Wales from the US with our young children, including a 4 year old with a long list of food allergies. We contacted the pub via email the night before we planned to lunch there. We received an immediate response confirming they could accommodate our food allergic kiddo. When we arrived, we showed our chef card, but they indicated the chef was all set and prepared for us.
