Booked a Sunday lunch for two.The service was excellent, the food was really great, freshly cooked and a homemade traditional roast of beef brisket, roasties, homemade yorkies, carrots, mashed swede and peas. We had the extra caulli cheese and it was all delicicious and excellent value with very generous portions, it's no surprise this friendly welcoming pub is such a popular place for families on a Sunday!
I hadn't been here for many a year, but my daughter took me for a treat. Great food! There was a really nice atmosphere. It was busy, so servers didn't get to us as quickly as they might have but it really wasn't an issue. Lovely child friendly beer garden too. The pub is obviously loved by the locals.

Bold statement but this is my favourite pub! It's what a pub should be, lovely food, lovely atmosphere and the best part, the service. We're somewhat regulars or at least recognised by what I've always assumed is the landlady (hope I'm right!). Came here today and never disappoints, if you catch them open, stop by!
