Dinas Mawddwy, MachynllethA gem of a cafe! The staff, especially the owner Jason, are lovely - very kind and welcoming. The location is beautiful. The food and drinks are very good, I especially loved the side salad with my bacon butty! The cafe has a great atmosphere, music is top notch and it has a very inviting feeling. I loved sitting in the window and watching the world go by. I will definitely be back, I can’t wait! ☺️

Bridge St, Corris, MachynllethA lovely café, and yet so much more than just a café - it's a cocktail bar, shop for essentials, and hosts community events like karaoke, open mics, and live music in the evenings, giving the locals and people passing through a reason to stay and feel at home. A wonderful little place, long may it remain the jewel in Corris Crown!

Dovey Valley Hotel
Glantwymyn, MachynllethWhat a find!! Just off the Glendwr way. Opening time 4pm. I had anticipated poor real ale if any at all and only fizzy keg beer. Ye of little faith!! This was NOT what I found! The place is undisturbed by new fangled 'upgrades' and the beer was excellent. Some cherry locals 1 pint down by 4.15. No messing in Wales. The bar man was chatty and welcoming.

Y Llew Coch - The Red Lion
Dinas Mawddwy, MachynllethPossibly the best steak and Guinness pie of my life! My American boyfriend keeps talking about it, weeks later. Also, the locals and staff were SO welcoming. It was such a nice surprise and we would definitely stop in again!

Ceinws, MachynllethIts a fantastic local pub. The pub owner is also a phenomenal painter. The pub is decorated with his Oil canvases.
The pint is always great the service is ALWAYS with a smile. You can't go wrong going there.

The Slater's Arms B&B
Bridge St, Corris, MachynllethLovely little pub in Corris. We only had a one night stay but will definitely return again. The owners, Mike and Charlotte, were most welcoming, and the pub seemed very popular with the locals. Our room was very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was good. Great location with plenty of walks and things to do nearby, as well as being on the Mach Loop.
