We called in here on spec whilst narrowboating on the Mon and Brec. Excellent service and one of the best meals we've enjoyed out in a long time. All was served very hot, plenty of it and friendly staff. We certainly plan to return (though as we live in Devon it's a bit of a journey for an evening out!) Thanks very much!Nearby activities: The Mon and Brec Canal is great for boating and walking.

We turned up today looking a bit bedraggled after a very wet walk along the canal but were greeted warmly and shown to a table despite not having booked and with an equally wet dog in tow! Both the landlady and waitress were very friendly and welcoming and the food was lovely and reasonably priced. We are regulars for family lunch when down from London. Always great hospitality and cooking. Should have written earlier, but today's lunch was just exceptional. "Fish and chips" understates the tempuraresque sole with Sean's tartare sauce. But son and I had best ever fresh "seafood chowder" - a gourmet version of the New England version = spoiler alert.
