Staff were efficient and calm dealing with a busy time on Saturday evening.

The Glynne Arms
3 Glynne Way, Hawarden, DeesideVisited as a group of 7 friends and had Pippa serving us who was friendly, professional and a real asset to the pub. There was a bit of a mix up in the kitchen which delayed part of the order but once flagged the manager handled the situation really well and sorted things out for us. Live music and open fire made a great atmosphere - a little loud for us oldies who struggled to hear each other but there is another dining room which was much quieter so would request sitting there next time. Overall we are well with good sized portions. I had mushroom lasagna which was pretty good.

16 Chester Rd W, Shotton, DeesideIt was my best kebab in my life! My favourite was "EXTRA LARGE CHICKEN KEBAB"! When I used to visit this place, the turkish men know me what I would eat and they said to me "EXTRA LARGE CHICKEN KEBAB" and I said you think as well!!!One of my collegu of driver said to me to greet them "EFFENDI" that means friend! I do it and after they were surprised what I can say for them!

34 Welsh Rd, Garden City, DeesideThe combo salt and pepper boxes are out of this world. Ordered a medium which came in a 9” pizza box crammed full that much it was cellotaped shut. Thankyou two dragons, couldnt even eat it all, saved it for lunch for the next day. I will get a small next time. Best combo box I’ve ever had like this. Crispy beef was lovely, ribs were perfect, chicken balls and strips nice and crisp and the sweet and sour sauce is like a pineapple explosion, really really nice ( more of that please)

Service is always polite & perfect with Delivery times no longer than 45mins sometimes half hour even when there really Busy. So if you want a really tasty treat then call Big B's Burgers Queensferry Deeside. The first person I met was John the landlord who introduced himself and pointed out the Wrexham Lager that I selected and I wasn't disappointed. Very nice pint indeed. A few minutes later I was introduced to the landlady and chef, Pat, who asked if I wanted to order food as everything is freshly prepared and cooked and pointed out the menu choices available that day. I chose the Chicken Melt, fillets of chicken in a barbeque sauce topped with melted cheese that came with chips and peas. The meal arrived around 20 minutes later, generous portions and absolutely delicious. If I hadn't been so full I would have had the same again!

Stamford Way, Ewloe, Deesidei called in to the castel cafe for a breakfast i was very impressed with how clean the place was and the kitchen where the food is being prepared was spotless i ordered my beakfast and the staff was very polite and nice to talk to nothing was to much trouble i sat down at my table having a look at the menew it had a good range of diffrent foods to order and then my breakfast came and it was presented nice on my plate so i tucked in to it and i enjoyed every bit of it was value for money i was leaving and i asked a member of staff about the sausages that was amazing thay said the sausages bacon are from a local butchers and the eggs a from a local farm i replied great to see local businesses being surported i will be going back to the castle cafe and bringing some friends to try the breakfast i will also be telling people to visit thanks again for the lovely welcome and polite staff 10out of 10

38 Welsh Rd, Garden City, DeesideWe decided to take a well-earned break from our bike ride along the River Dee and ended up at Just Jo's in Garden City between Queensferry and Chester. What a find!
The ladies behind the counter were cheerful and keen to help, and Angela in particular deserves a mention for having such a clear voice. We selected a bacon and cheese sandwich with a cup of coffee and paid £5.70 for one of the best sandwiches I've ever tasted. The bacon was generously layered and it was tender. The sausage had real flavour, nothing like the bangers found in so many cafés.
This came as no surprise when the ladies explained that their bacon and sausages were sourced locally - nothing comes from warehouses and supermarkets.
Apart from savouries, Just Jo's has home-made cakes, scones and teacakes too. Plus soft drinks. On a sunny day like today, we sat outside. All in all, a memorable break from the bike saddle.
We were also told that we should return at lunchtime when their home-made meat pies became available. The pies were top sellers, they said. Ladies, worry not. We'll be back!

31B Station Rd, Queensferry, DeesideI used this takeaway for the first time tonight. The food was beautiful - duck spring rolls (on the menu as chopstick rolls) and chicken cashew nut with fried rice - all for £9.20. Perfect for the two of us to share and quickly prepared.
