5 the, Strand, FerndaleGreat fish and chips. Pies also lovely sausage in batter was s bit soggy. Tends to go downhill if the boss isn't there but that's rare so mostly a great takeaway chippy.

43 High St, FerndaleMy first visit I was new to the area but the staff were very welcoming and helpful as I had a pram with me. I had the most delicious poached eggs with smashed avocado on toast and my 8 month old had his own baby toast. Recently I tried their chocolate and caramel cake and I'm definitely going to go back.

Scoop's & Smile
Oakland Terrace, Ferndale2nd. Visit...last one was pre covid, and pleased to see they are still open. They make their own ice cream which makes it a pleasure to visit. The car park is Porth side of the building. Drive in as if you were going into the car wash (look for car wash and red sign). Definitely worth a visit as it does food as well as ice cream.
3rd visit...always happy to visit if in the area. Car wash next door that I love to use while in the restaurant.

64 High St, FerndaleI had to collect breakfast for some workers who had a big journey in the early morning. Carol, I believe she is the manager welcomed me in to wait in the warm as it was dark and early. What a delicious human being. She had warm hot rolls ready which the work men were very greatful for. She made me a coffee while I waited. Honestly what a beautiful person. It really made my early morning alot easier. What a kind ,kind women. We definitely all need a Carol. Thank you, your kindness has not gone un-noticed ?

Mayfair Garden
East Rd, Tylorstown, FerndaleBrilliant and best Chinese in the Rhondda Fach with good deals. Prices have sadly gone up numerous times over the last few years. They only take cash which can be a pain but like the idea as this is how it used to be. Only issue is the delivery driver parking on my dropped kerb to serve other Muppets in Wattstown. They should know the law on parking on dropped Kerbs especially when there are three signs stating no parking. Other wise lovely food & service.

12 Duffryn St, FerndaleI want to show you how amazing this food is from Happy Wok - I really don't like the new style Pancake rolls that are the size of pillows and have like a batter on them. So I swopped from my old takeaway (of 15+ years after they changed) to this one, and I'm so glad I did. Beautiful spring rolls (the old way), the ribs were really Char Sui-y and meaty (lush) and the portions were massive. In the pics is a set chicken curry meal, extra ribs and spring rolls. And it came in a carrier bag with fortune cookies and prawn crackers (not a tiny bag like usual). Honestly...beautiful - go and try Happy Wok for your next takeaway. (No I don't get paid for reviews either, just sharing the love :-) )

My wife and I had our wedding on Sept 7th, all evening all I had were compliments about how good the food was. Martin really cares and it's about the food experience for him, he went above and beyond our expectations. Thank you Martin for pulling out all the stops for us, highly recommended ❤️

58 Maerdy Rd, Maerdy, FerndaleA group of us recently took our children to Darren Park in Ferndale after we finished work. On the way to the park I collected a takeaway from the Grill House in Maerdy. I placed an online order for chips, pizzas, chickens wraps, kebabs, burgers and fried chicken. The order was ready at the allocated time and I received excellent customer service from the friendly man who served me. When I arrived at the park the food was still piping hot. We sat on a picnic bench and the portion sizes were very good. The food tasted great with lots of fresh ingredients and flavours. The children really enjoyed their end of term treat and there was plenty of food to go around. After eating tea the children enjoyed playing in the well equipped park and watching the fish in the lake. We stayed at Darren Park until sunset. We would recommend a visit to the Grill House, because the food tasted fantastic and offered great value for money. We will definitely return.

74 High St, FerndaleOrdered the £12.00 doner/scewer sharing meal for 2. Was delivered within the 30 min time. Absolutely delicious. Would have actually have fed 4 people. Would definitely recommend the meal.and the shop. Top takeaway service, fresh cooked food, plenty of food for the money and most of all, delicious !
