2nd. Visit...last one was pre covid, and pleased to see they are still open. They make their own ice cream which makes it a pleasure to visit. The car park is Porth side of the building. Drive in as if you were going into the car wash (look for car wash and red sign). Definitely worth a visit as it does food as well as ice cream.

Plaice on the strand

Lovely food, friendly staff. One star taken off because I found I got more chips in a regular portion than I did in a large portion. This really let it down for me, please sort your portion sizes so that large really is large!

Lindy Lou's Café

This is an amazing place! I would really recommend everyone going there. We had an afternoon tea, it was absolutely lovely. It was way too much, but we've got the possibility to take it home with us. Staff is so friendly, food is really good!

Moved to the area a few months ago. Have visited the Glyn twice for food and both times have been amazing. You get plenty for your money. Staff are very friendly. Nice and clean. Definitely

Place is a bit dated but food was 5 star and I was amazed how cheap it was my partner had gammon & chips I had fish & chips with 2 drinks £16, the young lady serving was very nice s Arnold says I,LL BE BACK!

I had to collect breakfast for some workers who had a big journey in the early morning. Carol, I believe she is the manager welcomed me in to wait in the warm as it was dark and early. What a delicious human being. She had warm hot rolls ready which the work men were very greatful for. She made me a coffee while I waited. Honestly what a beautiful person. It really made my early morning alot easier. What a kind ,kind women. We definitely all need a Carol. Thank you, your kindness has not gone un-noticed ?

Our go to Chinese. Usually order off special 3 meal offer and food is always great and good value for money. The Chinese lady is very friendly and always smilingly happy.

Grill House

A group of us recently took our children to Darren Park in Ferndale after we finished work. On the way to the park I collected a takeaway from the Grill House in Maerdy. I placed an online order for chips, pizzas, chickens wraps, kebabs, burgers and fried chicken. The order was ready at the allocated time and I received excellent customer service from the friendly man who served me. When I arrived at the park the food was still piping hot. We sat on a picnic bench and the portion sizes were very good. The food tasted great with lots of fresh ingredients and flavours. The children really enjoyed their end of term treat and there was plenty of food to go around. After eating tea the children enjoyed playing in the well equipped park and watching the fish in the lake. We stayed at Darren Park until sunset. We would recommend a visit to the Grill House, because the food tasted fantastic and offered great value for money. We will definitely return.

Marmaris Kebab House

Ordered the £12.00 doner/scewer sharing meal for 2. Was delivered within the 30 min time. Absolutely delicious. Would have actually have fed 4 people. Would definitely recommend the meal.and the shop. Top takeaway service, fresh cooked food, plenty of food for the money and most of all, delicious !

Cinnamon Spice

Amaaazing place. Staff are really friendly, there are nice clean toilets with good toilet paper, the food is *incredible* and the price is fantastic. We shared about 8 dishes between four of us and it was under 20 quid a head for loads of really superb food. We were even treated to a small impromptu performance when one of the staff came out and started singing, and he had a great voice! Thank you so much, we've been gere twice now and will definitely be back.Vegetarian options: There are loads if veg dishes
