13-14 William St, Ystrad, PentreWaitress very polite ordered meals & drinks had to wait and ask where drinks were after 10mins (the pub was not busy) the meal was outstanding as usual well presented and plenty of.When we went to pay we were told CASH ONLY luck my friend was able to cover the cost (no signs to say) the lady behind bar let's the place down with her abrupt manner also whilst eating food when serving not very professional... this lady has been rude on a few occasions but her length of service she thinks gives her the right SORRY NOT ACCEPTABLE

The Chip Stop
114 William St, Ystrad, PentreThe only reason it was rated 4 and not 5 is because it took 2 hours for food to arrive on a delivery.Food was a 10/10 and delivery driver was sound.I'd 100% have this again but maybe go and pick it up next time

Mamos Grill
191 Gelli Rd, Gelli, PentreAbsolutely by far the best chicken shiesh and mixed (lamb chunks with chicken) ever. Salad was fresh and all food served in separate containers. Bonus was the bed of rice under the meat and the Turkish bread. Definitely recommend and return. Thanks mamos-game changer

A Fish Called Rhondda
20 Church Rd, Ton Pentre, PentreThe fish may not actually be called Rhondda (I checked) but this may be the best chip shop in South Wales. The servers are just the best people and are always welcoming whenever I come back.I really recommend trying their toasted wraps ...omg... honestly, filled to the brim.

95 Llewellyn St, PentreOrdered takeaway tonight for my wife and I. Food was very good, good quality. Lots of chicken in each dish. Naan bread was also good and meals were nice and hot. Onion barges were a good size and very tasty, too with a little bit of spice, which was nice. Tend to find that this Indian restaurant has more chicken in the chicken dishes than a lot of other Indian takeaways in the local area. Seems to me that things are getting more expensive and you’re getting less chicken in your dishes these days, but not with this particular takeaway. Will use this place again

Babylon Pentre
94 Llewellyn St, PentreWe ordered pizza on our way back from a gig. Randomly stopped here as we drove through town and so pleased we did. The pizza was easily the best we’ve had from this sort of shop, (and we have a lot of pizzas!) well cooked, crispy and light bases, plenty of toppings and really reasonably priced. Highly recommended!
