Our walk got rained off so after a lovely meal in the Ferry Cabin Cafe down the road, we popped in for a pint until the rain stopped. The barman was very welcoming and they serve my favourite beer (double dragon) so it was a good start. Our dog was also allowed in too (provided he wasn’t wet and stayed on the floor, pretty reasonable rules). We played a couple of tables of pool and the rain stopped so we headed for the beach which is just a 2 min walk away.A great little pub...read full review

We rented a cottage in Kidwelly for a quiet dog walking weekend, the weather was shocking, but you expect that for January. The White Lion was just a short walk down the road, we got a soaking walking there, but when we got there, had a nice welcome, a couple of beers, then went into the restaurant area for food. We ate in here with friends just before Christmas and the food was excellent really good quality and value, great pint and good atmosphere and usually have the football on too which helps! The carvery on Sunday’s is really good too and you need to book normally, Anne who runs the place is a great host
