Lovely freshly prepared food, we had the fish and chips, good sized portion and reasonably priced. Lots of history on the pub within the restaurant. Staff were friendly and welcoming too.

A very lively little pub, even on a Monday night, and a very friendly mixed crowd of all ages. I loved the historic 'long house' building, with its low beamed ceiling and stone walls...and of course the thought that major historic events had taken place there.The staff were very efficient and friendly, the food was very fresh and in generous portions, and the wine list was better than the average. Highly recommended!

Hi what a gem in the heart of the town a great place for a drink and food We called in for tea and the food was excellent, presented well and all came. Hot drinks are well kept pint of Guinness and lagers. They also have a child’s menu. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. We should’ve got their names.
