Tremfan Hall

Llanbedrog, Pwllheli

We arrived at Tremfan hall on Friday 13th of February for our two nights stay.
We were pleasantly greeted by Sandra the co owner and shown to our room via an elegantly oak panelled sitting room with a welcoming wood burner blazing away.
Climbing the fabulous oak staircase I couldn’t help but notice the walls were adorned with delightful Italian frescoes.
As I learned later that they are part of Tremfan Hall’s rich heritage.

We were privileged to be the first people to use the newly fitted en-suite bathroom with stylish brushed brass fittings.
The room was spacious
Immaculate with tasteful decor and a very comfortable bed.

We dined that evening at Tremfan hall with two friends Alex and Pete who live locally at their recommendation
The Chef Patron Nigel Skinner cooked the most amazing delicious three course meal imaginable.
With attentive efficient service.
The restaurant was warm convivial and we all had the best of evenings.

I woke on Saturday morning to an amazing view looking over the Llanbedrog headland to see a magnificent sunrise the sun shimmering on the water
I had to pinch myself that I’d actually woken up and not still dreaming.
Our breakfast was absolutely delicious and plentiful
It kept me fortified for the rest of the day.
Again as with our evening meal it was cooked by chef patron.

We were absolutely overwhelmed with Tremfam hall with its delightful atmosphere idilic location and mine hosts friendly faultless hospitality.
We’re going again in three weeks !

Plas Glyn y Weddw Gallery

Llanbedrog, Pwllheli

Wonderful art gallery and I would have given 5 stars but it was very disorganised today. Impossible to pay for parking via app as there is no adequate phone signal. The cafe is beautiful and has great food, but it was overcrowded and impossible to figure out the system of how to get a table. If it's full I suggest finding a member of staff and asking how to get a table via the complex waiting list system... The painting is the gallery are wonderful, varied and impressive, and with free entry it's a must see. Well worth paying the £5 parking to stay over 2 hours. In spite of a sign saying that the footpaths are open, the best path is not. Well worth leaving the car in the car park and walking down the road to the beautiful Llanbedrog beach.

Petal-á-Pot

A great place for Sunday brunch. I must admit we were a fussy bunch (7 of us ) but everything was catered for with a smile. I had the vegan breakfast. I’m not vegan but just liked the sound of chilli roasted potatoes and always like mushrooms and tomatoes. I asked to swap the sausage back to a standard pork sausage and add bacon too. All arrived as requested, in fact I’m glad I went for the pork sausage as they were full of flavour - absolutely delicious!
