The Sun Hotel
A495, Llansantffraid-ym-Mechain, LlansantffraidHighly recommended if you are visiting Llansantffraid ym Mechain - or in the vicinity. We had a delicious meal, and were served by a young man and woman who couldn't have been more attentive and pleasant. The food and wine were excellent. The hotel / bar / restaurant appear to have been recently refurbished in a manner in keeping with the lovely building, sympathetically retaining many of its fascinating historic features in a spotlessly clean, comfortable, modern setting. We had an evening meal on a Friday and felt that the place deserved to be full! Clearly a lot of work has gone into making the restaurant attractive and inviting. We hope it flourishes! Splendid food, fine service in a very pleasant setting - and a reasonably priced menu. Do give it a visit; snooze and you lose!
