We have been going to the Angel inn for many years, as we felt the place had a special feel about it, the staff are normally friendly and sociable but lately we have noticed how it is not as good as it use to be. The main issue last week was the chips, they looked as it they had been cooked earlier in the day, they were dry, tasteless and had that over cooked look. I think this place has been unfairly reviewed however my experience was short and only stopped here for a couple of drinks therefore can't review the food but the beers were nice and the staff were efficient and friendly. We enjoyed our experience.

A beautiful venue, beautifully decorated with friendly staff. My husband had the salmon pasta dish which looked lovely and he enjoyed. A disappointing meal if you are vegetarian however. All the old "favourites", curry, burger, lasagne, risotto. I choose the mushroom risotto which was sadly very overcooked and quite flavourless... was more like a porridge.
