Great selection of local and independent ales in a nice traditional wood clad pub in a historic part of town. Great for live sport and for welcoming visitors. Good range of food including burgers. Usually £3.75 for cask ale.
Great pub. Great choice of beers that are well looked after. A good choice of lagers, ciders and ales. At least 4 cask ales on show. Ordered 4 meals and all 4 were really good. Proper chips as well ?Steak Thursday so I had a rump that was a lovely cut and cooked bang on and had my pint for free. Cost £12Also has 2 meals for £15 .. The food is outstanding. You have to wait a while but that's because its all cooked to order. The chips are just like nan used to make, bloody lovely. Staff are always friendly and helpful and pub has a welcoming feel.
