Not being local didn't know the area, quick stop to find a cafe, since my visit was pre 9am Buffers was the only one open, others shortly after but a rating of 4.7 on Google and just as good on trip advisor thought it's worth a try. It's a small independent cafe next to the rail station with ample parking options nearby. Quirky old building and funky decor inside. A real gem. Clean, spacious, very friendly, lovely food options and table seating through under the station glass roof with dog beds etc. Today we had broccoli and Stilton soup with very large sourdough rolls Very tasty and I would recommend. Vegan soup choices also available.Table service. Great atmosphere. Came here before our 2hr drive home. I had pancakes with banana & maple syrup very nice, freshly cooked pancakes (not packet ones!) Cup of tea was spot on and very good value. ?
