Visited here for a meal while staying in the local area. Had a really great experience. Excellent cosy country pub atmosphere, made all the better by a very friendly reception from the landlord who recommended some local walks. Good ale and really nicely prepared home cooked food. I had the steak, which was tender and perfectly done. Drink prices very reasonable. Will definitely be returning again during our stay. Fabulous visit to the shoemakers yesterday amazing food a big thank you to Ryan the landlord for helping me get my disabled husband in and out of the car can't wait to come back

Walked to this great rural pub. Landlord was ace; friendly and super helpful. Serves a well chilled pint and steak was cooked beautifully. Even offered us a lift back to save our tired legs. Would definitely recommend.
