What a find this place is. Unusual quirky and very good. Outstanding ales on hand pump, excellent food at sensible prices, friendly and helpful staff. Dog free area in the bar was a big plus as well.

Wr can only some surmise on the Tuesday evening we went they were short of staff, I've never been to a pub in all my years and had to wait in a QUEUE for 20 minutes to get served at the bar! We can say though that the two young personnel that were serving on the bar did one of the most magnificent jobs serving I've seen in 20 years.I think this review should really be about the customers though there was so patient and well-mannered and polite in this very unusual situation

Visited this quirky pub whilst staying in rented property nearby. Was unable to get in on Saturday as fully booked (band playing) so booked for the following night. Six of us had an array of meals, all of which were excellent value for the money paid. So good, my partner and I returned again prior to returning home. Yes, the service is a bit chaotic and you have to queue at times. But that is a result of its popularity. Attentive and helpful young staff. Would happily recommend
