4 High St, AlcesterSo out with 2 youngsters and the better half. We ordered 6 starters. Pulled Pork, Fishcakes, chicken gyoza, Panko deep fried jalapeños. All excellent and great value. It made for a great lunch. Great staff and service too.

The Royal Oak Alcester
44 High St, AlcesterCalled in here for a drink on our wedding anniversary, 1st time here and was made to feel very welcome by Ruth. My husband mentioned it was our anniversary and Ruth surprised us with 2 glasses of prosecco and strawberries, what a lovely gesture. Will definitely go back to try the steak night and the Sunday roast. Lovely staff and regular customers made us welcome ?

The Village Cafe

Cardamom Avant Garde Indian Cuisine
2 Swan St, AlcesterIf there was a down side it was that the restaurant was not licensed, we did not know but you can bring your own drinks. Service was quick and polite and the food was excellent. Unfortunately we could not eat it all and although they were prepared to pack the lest of it for us to take, we were staying in a local hotel and had no means of keeping it.
But yes, we would definitely go there again.

The Tavern, Broom
32 High St, Broom, AlcesterI've eaten here several times now and every time it has been great. The service and food is top class. I've got several food allergies and they always make sure to check with the kitchen and make adaptations. Our waitress today Karen made me feel really welcome.

The Bear Hotel
22 High St, AlcesterJust had a wonderful meal in the Bear Hotel. Home cooked food which was very tasty indeed. Large portions too and only £13.95 per portion. Sadly we are going home tomorrow or else we would have had another meal here, I would thoroughly recommend it

20 High St, AlcesterAmazing food delivered right on time! Hands down the best curries in all of Alcester. Everything was fresh, full of flavour, and perfectly cooked. They even included a free onion bhaji with the order — a lovely surprise and a great touch. Highly recommend!

Arrow, AlcesterThe Arrow Mill has atmosphere in abundance, and the food and service are excellent too. Although it's a large restaurant, the décor feels warm and inviting, making it a lovely place to dine. I'd fully recommend eating here. The car park is big as well, so free parking is never a problem.

2 School Rd, Great Alne, AlcesterOrdered a takeaway as unfortunately we could not eat in. This was the first time that we have got food from here. Having sampled other Indian eateries in the area over the last couple of years, I would say this stands out head and shoulders above any others.
The food was tasty hot and full of flavour,and not just sauce a good quantity of meat.
Will definitely be going back.

37 Henley St, AlcesterSince Red & his wife took over this fine pub a year ago it has got better & better. Music that makes you want to stay & with a decent beer selection. The guest ale is always something to go for of course. The locals are back with a fine age spread from 18 to 80+. The welcome is as warm as the log burner. Life has been breathed into this fine old building & its soul has returned too. When Red & his family are taking a step back from their great front of house work then the other bar staff make you feel just as at home. When the weather allows then head to the sheltered garden too. The previous tenants almost killed the place so ignore reviews from 2021 & before. The Holly Bush is back !!!!!!! Use it ??

The Twisted Boot
AlcesterI had been camping in Coughton fields and decided to take a walk along the road to get some exercise. I came across this pub and although I felt hungover cane in for a bit of lunch and a cup of tea. The place was empty but a barmaid soon appeared and apologised, taking my order. The food didn’t take very long and tasted amazing. Difficult to get a vice as I was the only one in there at a strange time, but I will probably go back next year.

THE ALCESTER INN, St Faith's Rd, AlcesterThis is the second time we have stayed at the Alcester Inn and it suits us perfectly.
It’s actually in a quiet part of the town but within easy walking distance of the Main Street.
And it always seems well populated with locals which is a good sign and offers weary travellers somewhere to rest their heads.
Food was very good too and I would thoroughly recommend the Alcester Inn to anyone

17 High St, AlcesterWas lovely on the phone and easy to place order, came very very quickly (it’s only a weekday so might be a bit longer wait on weekends). Everything was hot and fresh, sweet and sour sauce is the best I’ve had in a long time, definitely will be returning again!

Alcester Fish Bar
Kinwarton Rd, AlcesterThis is a great chippy! We recently moved to Wilmcote and have been trying to find a good local chippy, this fish bar has become our favourite. I have cod, my partner has chicken kebab on a pitta and we share chips, portions are good and the kebab is always loaded with meat. Only pain is sometimes they leave the chips wrapped up on the counter by the open door while they prep the kebab meaning after that and our drive home the chips aren’t as hot as I’d like, but to be fair I think I will just ask them to do the chips last next time.

Birmingham Road, AlcesterYoung girl who gave me my food was a little angel. Didnt catch a name but she was wearing hi-vis and had red/ginger hair. Lovely girl and noticed my hot chocolate wasnt quite hot so didnt let me leave until I had a fresh, hot one. She simply switched it, didnt make me wait. Not many people would do that, i dont think, so thankyou!! This was on Sunday 23rd Feb at around 3:30pm :) food was fine, no complaints :)
