Lovely place to go, welcoming staff, always attentive. Food is great home cooked, plenty to fill a hearty appetite Have tried food from menu, Sunday roast and Festive menu. Absolutely delicious with everything we have had.
Went for Sunday lunch today at this lovely country pub. As always the food was impeccable and seems to get better each time we go. The portions were huge, so much so that only one of us out of a party of seven was able to finish their meal! Three of us had roast lamb and the other four had roast beef and everybody in our party said how nice it was. We have seen mixed reviews about the food and service, but I've got to say our Sunday lunch today was absolutely beautiful, one of the best roast out I've ever eaten. The staff, especially Julie were welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The food was so good, I didn't pick my pint up throughout the meal.Well done all at the jockey and we will definitely be returning.
