5 of us went in a lunchtime and had the Vegetarian Tasting Menu. The last 3 dishes (which include a desert) were truly excellent. Which meant that our visit finished on a high. The first 4 dishes were however disappointing - lacking taste, substance and creativity. We had expected consistently amazing food throughout the entire meal. Service was lovely and attentive. The food at the Cross was exceptional, it has certainly earned its reputation for fine dining. The combination of flavours and presentation was a delight to the senses.A personal highlight being the duck breast I had for my main. This is my second visit and yet again the tasting menu was incredible! Wine flight complimented perfectly and the service was impeccable and personable….an all round perfect evening for my friends birthday. Thanks so much to all the team!!
