Was there for the Boxing. Had booked a table near a TV. Which we got. We had to ask to have it put on several times. Ordered food and the food was not nice... Portion size has shrunk. I've eaten there before many times but was really disappointed this time. I asked for a napkin and was told they'd ran out at 8pm on a Saturday. So ended up going to the toilet. This was my first time to Stratford and my wife knew of the Rose & Crown , having visited numerous times before . What a lovely place to have your lunch !! The location is close enough for all the tourist sights . The staff are helpful , and polite. As it was nice , We sat outside in the courtyard and watched a bit of Rugby on the big screen TV situated in one of the outbuildings. Young girl with blonde hair extremely friendly and nice when ordering at the bar and food was alright although portions a bit small.The 1 star for service was the fact the girl collecting dishes literally walked over to our table without saying a single word and started trying to take plates away from people who were still eating assuming they'd finished as they paused to have a sip of their drink ?
