Restaurants in Welford-on-Avon
The Blue Boar
Grafton lane, Temple Grafton, AlcesterWhat a little gem of a place!! we recently returned from a 2 night stay here and it was absolutely lovely. Although in a remote location it was perfect as a base for visiting the local area. we were able to book an uber without problem to spend the day in Stratford upon Avon. We ate in the restaurant on our first night and the food was delicious, we had the pie and chicken supreme. both were cooked to perfection and the desserts were just as delicious (lemon tart and a to die for sticky toffee pudding!!) Our room was a decent size for 2 adults and the bathroom was very modern. Rooms were spotlessly clean, my only criticism was that we had a room facing the main road and we could hear the traffic passing quite loudly. That aside, This is a charming Inn full of history and we both agreed we will happily return to stay again in the future if we visit the area again. It's a shame it's not more local as we'd love to try more offerings from the menu!
