The Blue Boar

Last night was our 5th visit to this excellent restaurant as a family, every time we visit the food, atmosphere and service is perfect. The extremely varied menu offers something for everyone and it is all done very well. We have been here before as a large family group of 4 generations and every item put on our table was enjoyed and spot on. The food is always fresh and made with high quality ingredients that are presented beautifully and this is consistent, even when the restaurant is full! The standards are high and reliable. The blue boar is now our family favourite for a quick midweek meal out or a special occasion celebration location. The service from staff is attentive and on every visit we have been acknowledged immediately when waking in. Even if the staff are busy with others they will look over and smile creating a positive impression and a welcoming environment. The restaurant is set beautifully and is, along with the toilets spotlessly clean. We have not stayed overnight so can’t comment on the rooms but I imagine that they will be spotless too and would be happy to recommend. I’m looking forward to trying the Sunday lunch next.
