On this occasion, our visit could only be described as average. The service was actually excellent, very friendly and attentive. The good news stopped there…. When the food came it was a huge piece of meat, but it was extremely fatty, quite tough, and I was wishing they had given me a steak knife! The mashed potato that came with the meal was totally over seasoned. Avoid the spicy mushroom burger! I was looking forward to trying this but ended up disappointed. The coating made the mushrooms hard and chewy and the whole meal was extremely salty, so much so that I couldn’t eat much of it at all. A bad menu choice but not many alternatives for vegetarians or vegans. Service was good, however we were all cold and it was much warmer outside!!

An absolutely lovely dog friendly pub. The food was delicious (we had the lamb and sea bass....amazing!!) and the staff were very friendly, attentive, chatty and helpful. We loved it so much that we've already booked again for next week. I wish we lived closer but I can guarantee we'll be back every time we are in the area. An extra special thank you to Kayleigh for her recommendations of other pubs in the same chain in the area of Wales we are traveling too.
