“The food was excellent and good value.The only thing that let it down was that there were a number of flies trying to land on the food whilst we were trying g to eat. Apart from that I would highly recommend the food.”

“A family get together with my sister for a traditional Sunday lunch…….The weather outside was appalling but the the warmth inside included the service and hospitality. There were five in our party and we all chose the plated Sunday lunch. On offer was medium rare sirloin of beef perfectly cooked, Turkey breast, pork loin and lamb. Needless to say I had all four meats on offer. The selection of vegetables were properly prepared and cooked and well seasoned and everything was HOT……only grumble as a chef myself is that the meat could have been a little thicker. My sister had the vegetarian option but enjoyed all the vegetables. My wife and I finished with the homemade tiramisu which being such a large portion could have benefited with a little double/pouring cream. Would I recommend……Definitely. Well priced and good value for money, probably the best roast dinner I’ve had in a pub ever…..”

“We were driving around the area looking for a road to Bognor Regis. Saw the Royal Oak and stopped for some lunch. It was quite late around 3pm but the staff were really helpful and we had lovely roast dinner at a very reasonable price.”

“My Wife and I visited the Cabin for lunch today (12/09/23). Steph had the fish & chips, I choose a 8oz sirloin steak with chips, onion rings, tomatoes, & peppercorn sauce. It arrived in good time & was very good. We could have been tempted by pudding, but none were available on this day. Oh well good for our waistlines. We will certainly return as was enjoyable meal. Thank you to the staff.”
