At 74 years of age this was my first visit to a Wetherspoons and I was pleasantly surprised! What impressed me most was the option to have a small portion meal in their ‘Pub Classics’ range. I think this is such a good idea as some people have a smaller appetite than others and this avoids food waste. Quick stop for refreshments a really busy pub. Food is okay, it's cheap and hot. Staff were polite and helpful. Upholstery on some seating is in dreadful condition. Was given dirty cutlery, not once but 3 times.

We had dinner and breakfast the following morning at this lovely pub. The staff were very very helpful and not only did they go the extra mile they went the extra mile 101 miles after they very kindly posted back a glove I had left behind. Really exceptional service with a smile!
