On a cold Tuesday there was a warm and pleasant atmosphere with friendly landlady. It's a lovely old pub with low ceilings and plenty of warnings to mind your head on low beams. There was a good beer selection and a good draft cider. There were four other tables occupied. We ordered a steak pie and a chicken pie with winter vegetables. Super Friendly Staff Great Atmosphere but eat upstairs at your peril if it is cold outside It's a very old building and obviously not as warm as modern Buildings The Staff are aware of this and did their very best to provide extra heating.The Food was average,but the Enthusiasm of the Staff and the Top Notch Pint of Harvey's more than compensated.Well done all at The Plough

Beautiful old country pub with lots of character.We went on a Sunday and had the roast beef and nut roast, which were both equally delicious. The sweets looked amazing, but we were too full to have one.The staff were really friendly and helpful.Great selection of beers, wines and spirits.Definitely going again.
