The pub oozes character, oak beams, stone floors, log fire and a chapel which is used as a function room. Pub grub and a good range of beers. There is a separate dining area or you can eat in the bar area if you wish.
We decided to treat ourselves to a Sunday roast at The Wheatsheaf, having heard good things about the food there. It was such a great choice, as our food was fabulous. We had booked our table, which was a good decision as it was getting quite busy. It was ready for us, with our name on it, with nicely set out glasses and cutlery. Seems like a popular local, friendly atmosphere and very attentive staff. The restaurant closes at 3pm on a Saturday, food we had was OK. I probably wouldn't eat there again but I'd certainly have another drink there. Many thanks
