Nice pub but no vegan food options (apart from a starter and some sides) ... Very odd as they do have the Moving Mountains burger but decided to keep it as a veggie burger rather than vegan. So stayed for a drink only.Vegetarian options: They have veggie options but nothing vegan.
Visited here with family and just with my wife recently for impromptu food and a couple of drinks. I have to say the pub is well run, clean and the staff are very friendly. The new additional seating outside is lovely. The food is pretty good pub grub. Proper pies, sausage and mash, etc. We had the burger (which was nice, meat a tad overcooked but no biggie), fish finger sandwich (wolfed down) and the sausage and mash (delicious but for me, should come with peas). I personally found the pub far too noisy. We had a friendly welcome and taken to our table. I ordered the fish and chips and I left half of them as they really tasted unpleasant. I don't know what they're cooked in but I didn't like it. The chips were overdone. The batter on the fish was too thick and the mushy peas were tasteless. Really disappointing ?
