Went here recently for a family birthday meal. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the service was fantastic and the food was amazing! However it is pricy!! Our lovely waitress suggested 2-3 dishes per person which I agree was the right amount - however most of the dishes averaged around £10+ and there were hardly any vegetable dishes . We had the small plates here. The first thing I noticed is the service is impeccable, and the couple who run it are perfect hosts. We were hosted by the wife and staff. We had the warm bread and marmite butter; tasted something pretty much identical at a a Michelin starred restaurant. Really exciting mix of food, cooked very well. Comfortable surroundings, friendly service. First time we’d been so we got recommendations on dishes which was nice. Minimal waiting time between courses. Attentive with topping up drinks. Would definitely go back.
