Came with a party of 7 for a friend's 70th birthday, brought our own cake, serviettes, the staff brought us some small plates, forks and a knife to cut the cake, good service I thought, until we came to pay and I was absolutely stunned to be charged £3.50 per person for use of the plate. One lady didnt have a plate as she took her cake home and was still asked to pay £3.50. I have never encountered this before, we have been given plates, serviettes and even boxes to take cake home. I certainly wont take any party there again for a birthday meal. Very disappointed. Needless to say we didnt leave a tip.

Yummy Yorkshire Ice Cream Parlour - Hide & Hoof Farm Restaurant
Delph House Farm, High Flatts, Denby Dale, HuddersfieldWe visited yesterday on mothers day for an ice cream, as in my opinion, there is no better ice cream place with in a 30 min drive of Barnsley. It was busy, of course, but nothing out of the usual. My 6 year old eagerly waited his ice cream, jaffa cake he picked. On the first lick, while myself and my husband were sorting our ice cream... plop. Straight off. The lovely young lady who were serving us did my son a whole new ice cream and made his teary face light back up. Thank you so much for your kindness, we appreciate that so much.
We will be back. As we always are.
Please do consider more outdoor covered seating for ice cream go-ers. It is the only thing we would ever be critical of, as the ice cream and serve is always spot on.
