Lovely, welcoming staff, great food and nice atmosphere so it's the full package! Apparently, the pub was once owned by the Lister family so if you're coming to Halifax to get a piece of Lister history, definitely stop by here!It's also just across from Shibden Hall so a perfect stop off for some food and a drink after you've explored Shibden.The pub is dog friendly as well; they have free treats for the dogs and a doggy menu!Bit of a nightmare to get out of the car park as it's...read full review

Such a wide selection of food, Was so hard to choose from as it all sounded so nice! The food itself was lovely and very well presented! The staff were friendly and attentive. Will definitely be returning to try more off the menu! ☺️

I had steak with Yorkshire pudding at the pub. It was delicious and valued for money. Staff was attentive. She noted it was a bit difficult for me to use a butter knife to cut the steak, she asked if I needed a sharper one. Impressed!
