We know this pub well but hadn't been in since the latest refurb. We called in one afternoon to take a look. Wow, it looks amazing, the decor is bright, somewhat quirky and clean. Pints (selected) at £2.50 on weekdays, the varied outside areas are fantastic! A fully covered outside no smoking area with artificial grass ( the expensive sort), a marquee with loads of seating and the same smoking shelter as before. Vusited with my mum and sister.Lovely clean pub.Landlord and female bar staff member friendly and welcoming.One customer in particular _ Michael _ a regular _ went out of his way to make us feel at ease and cheered us up!.Relaxed atmosphere , would definitely go there again .Highly recommended.

We went as a party of 15 people to the whistle stop and has a meal there. A big thank you to all the staff and chef as the food was excellent staff couldn't do enough for us even when the kitchen had closed they still served us desserts will definitely be going again once again thank you whistle stop staff.
