A cosy spot for lunch and a simple but good menu. I had the sausage and mash which was delicious, my mother had the sea bream which was average. A group of 14 of us came for Sunday roast and it was a resounding success. A lot of us had roasts and they were great, Yorkshire for everyone, crispy fluffy potatoes, excellent variety of veg and thick tasty gravy. Points only lost for lack of parsnip and the uncomfortable benches. Would definitely return and by far the best roast in a long time.
This is one of Malmesbury's best kept secrets. Totally unassuming and while other places come & go this has been a fixture for as long as I can remember.Not the widest menu, but as many will know that is a good thing! There are day specials on the blackboard to keep it intesting. Been there many times over the years and the food has always been good.
