It was nice to receive my tea in a tea pot and before it stewed. Our meals arrived quickly and very well presented. I had the scampi and chips with mushy peas. There were 10 pieces of scamp with crispy batter. The mushy peas were the nicest I had had lately. My husband chose the chicken pie and chips and we thought it nice that it was a "proper" pie with bottom too. He said it tasted very nice. A shame that we don't live in Swindon so won't be visiting again for a while.
We only stopped by for drinks, so we can not vouch for the food.The staff were very friendly, it was busy early due to a sporting event being shown.The Tavern was clean and tidy.ToiletsAccessible toilets require a radar key. The food and service were very impressive, The atmosphere was okay and noisy at times considering it was a Saturday afternoon and the man city game was on. Would definitely recommend.
