The Barford Inn
Barford St Martin, SalisburyPopped in for lunch. The pie was AMAZING, and the gravy and carrots just as good. Real fire doing its job and creating a warm and cozy atmosphere. Nice glass (or two) of wine. Thanks all!

The Bell Inn
Warminster Rd, South Newton, SalisburyI have to share that my experience of dining at the Bell has always been lovely.
The food is freshly cooked and Dave is a terrific Chef!
Nikki is a beautiful soul and I always feel very welcome whether its been a couple of weeks between visits or several months.
The children's menu is also very good and is reasonably priced.
The meals are always filling and great value.
The setting is perfect for me, but I do love the countryside and I am fairly close by. The views are stunning, the garden has a play area for little ones and in the summer is a great sun trap!

The White Hart
Butt Ln, Bishopstone, SalisburyWe were staying close by and booked for lunch. Having seen some older reviews I had a slight concern but it certainly wasn’t warranted.
I had the curried beef croquettes for starter and then we both had the mixed meat Sunday roast. Both were excellent - meat was really good quality and properly cooked, huge Yorkshire and well cooked variety of veg. We do o my get a couple of roast potatoes but they were huge and again cooked well - we couldn’t eat them all. Gravy was sublime.
We also had desert which again were very good. Service was prompt but not hurried and staff were super friendly.
I’d very much recommend.

The Greyhound Inn
4 Market Place, Wilton, SalisburyGreat menu of interesting food. Dogs are welcome in the garden only. Food was nice but not quite up to that we’d had in other pubs - fish was a bit overcooked and crab cakes didn’t seem to have a bottom on them which you wouldn’t know until cut.
Desert was good though and huge.
Small points but merit dropping a star.

nole pizza
Pembroke Arms Hotel, Minster St, Wilton, SalisburyAmazing food all round. I’d say the pizza is definitely the clear winner though, being made all fresh! I was always amazed at the size of the sauce pot that I ordered additionally. They offered a great variety of pizzas and they catered to a large group perfectly! Service was brilliant and I love the little bar that’s out there as well!

Wilton House Cafe
Wilton Wilton House, Wilton, SalisburyA wonderful cafe! The decor is a beautiful mix of antique tables, church pews, and beautiful wood with lots of cushions and throws.
Tea is served in an eclectic mix of fine china cups and saucers, large teapot, and the coffee in a fine china mug. The tea-tray was antique silver!!!( I think..),
There are shelves of beautiful tea sets, and jars of preserved fruit and vegetables.
The food is properly home-cooked - delicious Mac cheese, the turkey sandwich with turkey cooked in house...and a simple side salad with a delicious dressing. Excellent home made cakes!
It is a large space ( which is lovely so the children can feel relaxed), but is made to feel homely by all the individual touches of decor and design.
This is now a firm favourite!

Wilton Garden Centre Riverside Restaurant
2 Salisbury Rd, Wilton, SalisburyBooked afternoon tea for our friends belated birthday celebrations and so glad we did! Lovely setting, great service and really enjoyable experience.
Our friend had never been to the garden centre before, let alone the restaurant and she loved it!
We had dietary requirements with a nut allergy, a fish allergy and someone not liking fruit scones so they substituted her scone with a cheese one, so kind!
My afternoon try had to come separately as I have a nut allergy, see photo.
We were topped up with tea, coffee and water, and the things we couldn’t manage to eat, they gave us a box to take home.
Would recommend, and at £23 per person, I think it’s value for money and I would suggest that you book ahead!
