17 High St, Downton, SalisburyWe have just come home from a family get together for Mothers Day, what an amazing find!
The food was very good indeed, we all had roasts, the vegetables were beautiful, best I've had on a roast in a while. Nothing was over cooked, everything was tasty & tasted of what it was, which in my book is rare nowadays. Lu went above & beyond to accommodate a vegetarian, 2 dairy allergys & a garlic allergy too.
I had one of the best brownie desserts for a dairy free diet I've ever had, usually it's a square of oversweet chocolate clag, but this was like a brownie sundae, it was intertwined with a very tasty vegan ice cream & a lovely tasting chocolate chip brownie, the ice cream broke up the sweetness beautifully for me.
The atmosphere was lovely, there was 8 of us, on a large table & it was bustling but with a really great relaxed feel to it.
We would all highly recommend The Wooden Spoon & we will return if we have another family get together, it was a good middle location for us too ?

62 The Borough, Downton, SalisburyBest pub/restaurant in the area by a country mile! Great social for a drink at the bar, amazing food! Staff are brilliant and services is fantastic.
Darren and Karolina have created an awesome venue in the last 5 years!

10A High St, Downton, SalisburyThe best fish I’ve ever had. Even a regular cod is massive. The batter is crisp and not too oily. Card payments accepted which makes it easy for customers whose never have cash!
