We arranged a charity fundraising night and had Golds supply the food, all vegan too. We had 33 portions that we collected . It was absolutely delicious! Not everyone was veggie or vegan but everyone raved about the veggie battered sausage and chips. And the tofish and chips. Being from Manchester where chippies make great fish and chips, I have struggled to find a decent chippy in the Midlands……..until today! Most of the chippies I have tried have very bitty chips and/or greasy fish. Golds in Catshill are spot on in my book and as good as the chippies up North. Really tasty fat chips, just how chippy chips should be and lovely cod with a light batter. There are lots of interesting things on the menu that are worth a try. We visited GOLDS because of the variety of vegan offerings. We had the tofish and vegan sausage in batter meal deals, which come in a box with curry or mushy peas. The food was delicious, and the portions were generous. It's not quite on our doorstep. But close enough for the food to still be hot when we got home.
