Friendly reception, easy seating, drinks quickly ordered and menus studied. Food came steadily as predicted and was excellent. Friendly and good value. We will be back.

Just come back from a delicious meal at dicks smokehouse,wow what a loverly little place,the staff are so friendly and very efficient at doing there jobs,the food was absolutely delicious and very reasonable priced,definitely worth a visit,I for one will definitely go back,park in trainstation car park 2 minute walk away?

Slug & Lettuce - Bromsgrove

Had an amazing time with friends at cocktail brunch. Would definitely recommend.
Donelle was great and kept our drinks topped up continuously and always checking we were having a great time.

This was our first visit after driving through Fairfield many times over the years.
My son chose it for his 30th birthday family meal.
Great food, great service, nothing was too much trouble, there was no rushing through courses.
Polite and courteous staff.
Good parking.

Ye Olde Black Cross

We had my husband's surprise 50th birthday party here on Saturday night (15 Nov 25) and the whole evening was a huge success. 10/10 for Stacey, Jay and Elvis who made the night go with a bang (despite the previous night flooding part of the cellar and front bar!) The Buffett was huge and accommodated everything from vegetarians to ceoliac requirements and everything in-between. A well stocked bar kept everyone happy and we all had a fantastic night\n If you're looking for a venue to book definitely give this one a go you won't be disappointed ?

A great place to grab a coffee or something stronger - relaxed feel to the whole place and always welcoming from all the staff

The food is amazing, great sandwiches on lovely local breads and always mixing it up with a special!

A wide choice of beers, multiple taps and plenty of cans to choose from. Their selection of soft and alcoholic drinks is really good.

Lovely food .. 6 clean plates!
Service was very good throughout even when two guests ran late they were accommodating and food was served quickly so they could eat with rest of party.

The Queens Head

Stopped off for a drink while walking the Tardebigge Lock flight. Prices not to horrendous. Didn't have any good, but food that we saw in passing looked good. Quite busy even late afternoon on a Sunday.

I wish I knew about this place sooner, what a find! Amazing food and service! I cant recommend the 3 cheese french toast enough - it was fantastic! Some extra chilli jam for me was needed though! The caramel oat iced latte was also amazing that I had to buy another! Cant wait to come back!

Ascotts Bromsgrove

Been here twice so far both times for my birthday with my lady and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Food is top notch and well worth the money, outstanding flavours, brilliant service with staff that will go the extra mile to make sure you are 100% satisfied from picking your own table at quiet times, full table side service even for your drinks. Both times I haven't been able to finish my burgers purely because of the size of them but staff are more than happy to package uneaten food to take home if you want to. Not a single bad thing to say about this venue, well worth every penny, I always leave a tip and would highly recommend this place to anyone who likes they're burgers, loaded fries or street food. Can't wait to go again.

Brilliant local pub, Sim the manager is always 5 star, always happy to answer any questions especially when I want to know about the different shot and cocktail deals, she's also a brilliant entertainer has fantastic ideas, had some brilliant nights, 5 star from me, I come in to see Sim now ????

The Gate at Bournheath

Visited FEB 26.
Absolutely superb.We had Santa Fe chichen, really good indeed.The food portion was perfect, home made coleslaw and salad made it memorable from the norn.
Cheesecake was one of the best we have had in a LONG LONG time.
The restaurant ambience was good .Our waitress was excellent, attentive and managed the service aspect superbly.

DO GO. YOU WILL, I HAVE NO DOUBT, ENJOY YOURSELVES AND HAVE A SUPERB FOOD EXPERIENCE.

For summer there is an good garden area as well.

Banners Restaurant

Banners is situated in Aston Fields and a gem. The waitresses were pleasant and efficient. Menu choices were also plentiful and varied. We had the Salmon Sizzler, Panko Garlic Chicken and Chicken Sizzler. They were served hot (some places I have been the meal was warm) and portion size was good.\nThank you Banners and we will be back

We had a lovely meal and the staff made us feel so welcome. Would recommend stopping here if you are looking for a good idian with good value for money and great service

Boat & Railway

I am a regular at the pub and cannot fault it in anyway. The landlord, Gavin, has created an exceptionally convivial atmosphere and I have never had a bad experience.

Ego at The Forest, Lickey End, Bromsgrove

Another lovely visit, fab food as ever, excellent service from Niamh, and a great laid back atmosphere. Special touches were the happy birthday on my dessert plate and birthday card. Thank you Ego and Niamh.

Just had the BEST tomato [and badil] soup I've ever had....great consistency....loads of flavour....and that cheese toastie on the side finished it off beautifully !!!!!..... wish I could bottle it up and take it back to Sydney with me !!!....yummmmmmo

Excellent, just what we needed, a table, despite not booking, lovely genuine, smiling faces, & nice friendly conversation. (With the waiters)

India Spice

Best Indian I have tried in the UK for many years. Tender Bombay lamb that was Devine. bring your own beer / wine. Food is Devine. Peas Pilau rice is off the scale delicious. The only problem with this place is that it is 150 miles from my house. People of Bromsgrove support this amazing restaurant you are lucky to have this gem on your doorstep.

Istanbul Kebab and Pizza

Pizzas were great. Ordered 10 family sized for a party. All of the guests said how good the pizzas were. Istanbul kebab was very accommodating and delivered promptly. Thank you!

Court Leet

Came in for food and drink, they now do a quiz on Monday nights. Food was amazing as always. Staff are friendly and attentive as usual. Atmosphere, great. Decorations look top notch this year. Will defo be back for the quiz next Monday.

Catshill Village Pizza

Very nice vegetable pizza. Kept my parents happy during an illness, and delivery was always prompt, hot and friendly and delicious. Never us let down, and always great.

GOLDS Fish Chips & Vegan

Ordered food from here, great menu for me as im vegan. Food was good, my partner isn't vegan but he said his food was also good. Delivery was pretty quick considering I live in Redditch.

Very pleased, I will use them again.

Several takeaways from here now and they’ve all been consistently lovely. We are so glad we tried this place on a whim as it is now our favourite place. The bonus is that they deliver to us in Rubery.

We took a punt on this place yesterday - on a flying trip from Peterborough. Well, what a find. The food was top notch. Good quality ingredients and great flavours. It was excellent value for money also.
But what made it for us was the service. Both the people who were involved with speaking to us (taking the order & then giving it to us 20 mins later) were so friendly. It really made the experience. It’s been there (in the same family) since 1983 for a reason. It’s fabulous.

Ideal Fish & Chips

Called Ideal for a last-minute feast for 2x Football teams, 40+ meals, and the service was fantastic; they did everything to appease us. The food was great, and I would definitely recommend Ideal Fish and Chip Shop..

I just couldn't believe just how good it was 10 minutes later I looked out the window of my car and I was flying I landed in Majorca and was met by a lucky lucky man who was keen to learn the roasting technique that gave me the ability to make myself and my car fly the whole experience was amazing since then I've been contacted by heat magazine and asked if I could show them a good roasting incredible highly recommend

Britisserie Restaurant

We stayed overnight Saturday 9th September and after staying in several similar-rated hotels, found the Bromsgrove Hotel & Spa a breath of fresh air. The rooms were clean and spacious, the evening meal was excellent (even though arriving late) and the service was excellent. The breakfast staff (especially Snehal) were extremely polite and helpful, making our stay a wonderful experience. Thank you.

The Old Post Office

My niece lost her bag last night in the pub and Julie the manager was amazing. She calmed us down, promised to look for it once the pub had emptied, as it was so busy. She found the bag with everything in it and called called me first thing this morning to collect it A massive thank you.

Golden Fry Fish Bar

Golden Fry is my local f & c shop, I visit every 3 weeks or so and have done for years. The food is consistently very good and all the staff are friendly. I also organise a fish & chip supper event for 60+ people occasionally and the meals are always hot and tasty. Thank you.

Costa Coffee

I come in every Friday with my dear friend. We have been consistently greeted well and our drinks are always to a top standard. A worker, Sam is always very polite and he always greets us with a smile. Another worker, Thia is also fast and efficient in making our drinks and they always make for an enjoyable experience.

Red Lion

Visited multiple times over the festive period and always had a good time here. Right in the heart of Bromsgrove high street it’s the perfect stop off with friendly staff and locals. There’s never much of a wait time at the bar and drinks are fairly priced. Toilets are kept clean and the smoking area has heaters which made it a perfect spot this time of year.

The Cross Inn

Such a lovely Black Country Ales pub here in Finstall, only issue we had was that the person in charge of our books (Dad) forgot to bring them when doing this trip home from meeting family.
Won't trust him again with the books.

Waz's Bistrôt

Absolutely wonderful. Had merguez sausage for a starter and the most wonderful Tagine. Waz's service and welcome is wonderful. A place to visit wherever you are

The Hop Pole Inn

Nice little local pub. Choice of real ales, ciders and lagers. Beer was good and staff were freindly. Not been on an evening but I hear they have live entertainment on a Saturday night.

Hanbury Turn

My new favourite Black Country Ales Pub. Lots of great photos of Bromsgrove back in the day across the walls. Difference with this BCA pub was the amount of games they had that you could play with your group - such a great touch. It doesn’t have the typical BCA wallpaper print, but I think this felt more tasteful. Great selection of drinks, darts board and a spacious outside area. Lots of bar snacks, cobs, scotch eggs etc - quiche of the day as well. Dogs are welcome - and there were some great ones when we were in!

CRABMILL INN

Great pub especially for Sports showing all channels and games on sky, tnt etc. lots of TVs, stand seating and one big screen. Not eaten here, but no complaints on service, always served fast.

Oriental Royal

Honestly the best Chinese I’ve ever had! I order all the time and I’ve never had a single bad product. Absolute quality food, lovely staff, very quick .. lovely clean establishment! Fully

Charlie's Kebab House

The best chicken shish I’ve ever had !! Staff wonderful… food amazing and prices are on point, but the main thing for me is it’s the best takeout for a million miles !!!

The Boat Shack

Lovely small cafe / venue, staff were so friendly and very welcoming .
It have a lovely outlook over a lake .
They serve food and drinks ,they open in the daytime .
Certain nights they have bands on and there is a bar...
Last night was our first visit there, the venue is quite small. But we went to see a band and was made to feel most welcome by the staff and those attending. It was brilliant night , really nice atmosphere. We definitely will be returning .

Very kind and helpful staff. They were really nice to the kids. The portions were amazing and the flavours are on point. Will definitely visit again if we happen to go to this area.

Canto Mando Chinese restaurant

Incredible. Visited 11th April and oh my days.......as a vegan and with a meat eater this was wonderful. I had a whole page to choose from! Vegan yuk sung 100/10. Fake sizzling beef 100/10. We shared a rice which was also perfect. Meat options were all 100/10. Wish we could eat here every night as came out full but not bloated or with a food coma. Cannot recommend enough. Will get back next month!

Got to say it is very very different to my last visit years ago, with newly refurbished rooms and a real local community vibe, Theo has really put some effort here and you should give it a try!

The Sandwich Lady & Sons

Quite often have our works Fat Friday sandwiches and sandwiches for our meetings from here. Always lovely & friendly over the phone. Great delivery service and food is always well wrapped, hot, and well cooked. They provide a great service.

Mint Lounge

Only family in there.. 16 of us all served at the same time.. staff lovely, couldn't do enough for us..some dishes very nice, others disappointing, can take your own drinks, soft or alcoholic... really good price for such a large party.. very local so is a regular stop off point ..

Starlight Cafe

Starlight is a community café where people can relax and complicate. I go there on Tuesday for my meeting. It a great café, they make great cappuccino's.☕

Antonios Pizza

Antonio will go out of his own way to ensure you have the right food, very attentive and friendly. I would say a lot of the worst reviews may come from drunk people who are on the one way. The food is honest & sound! Props to being open at 11pm on a Sunday!

Who doesn't love Greggs! You can eat in or takeaway. A good selection of everyone's favourite. Appeared to be clean and tidy. Always busy/queues around lunchtime. Wide doorway for pushchairs and disability aids.

Golden Cross Hotel - JD Wetherspoon

First time I've had food here in Bromsgrove. I selected an item off the new Christmas menu,the Turkey,Stuffing ,Bacon and Cranberry Pannini. The filling was tasty but I expected it to be hot and it wasn't! So disappointing ? I did speak to a member of staff as I left and asked her to speak to the chef. I doubt they'll make changes but interestingly another couple of diners seemed to have the same item and they sent them back to be warmed up, probably thought the same as me.

China Wok

First time ordering from here and it did not disappoint! Our usual chinese was closed so gave China Wok a try. The food arrived when they said it would and the delivery driver was so friendly. The food was piping hot and everything was delicious. We had aromatic duck, chicken in honey lemon, special fried rice, sweet and sour chicken balls. Honestly say it's one of the best chinese meals we've had. Will always use in future now. Thank you
