29 Hartlebury Rd, Stourport-on-SevernWe were staying in the nearby hotel for work and fancied some pub grub. This was a short walk away so booked a table. When we arrived it was very quiet and not immediately clear there was food being served.
However once I’d established with the owner at the bar that she had us down, all was well! We sat in a cosy part of the pub and were presented with a simple menu full of pub classics. The lady confirmed everything was homemade which was perfect.
We had a variety of dishes, all of which were absolutely delicious and fresh. I had the fish and chips with mushy peas and it was cooked to perfection. The prices were incredibly reasonable and we all left feeling very happy we’d found the place. We were even treated to a sample of hazelnut cheesecake which was utterly delicious. The ale was also well kept and very reasonably priced.
I got chatting to the lady and she said they’d only had the pub about a year. I suggested getting the menu on the website so potential customers could see it. This is a classic ‘don’t judge a book by its cover’ place. I’d highly recommend it and is a great way to support a local business.

The Quayside
Sandy Lane Industrial Estate, Stourport Marina, Stourport-on-SevernWe booked our table about 4 weeks ago.
Upon arrival we received a very friendly greeting and explained the menu boards and was told our table number.
There were 4 of us eating and we loved the complimentary salad.we ordered chicken wings between us and then our main course and desserts. It was excellent food, very tasty.
My only criticism is losing our first deposit of £40 due to illness a nasty sickness bug, I did rebook straight away, and it was explained to me about 48 hours notice and that my deposit could not be transferred to my new booking, hence I had to pay another £40 deposit.
Perhaps, if the customer rebooks straight away, you could consider transferring their deposit as it’s genuine, and if they do not rebook then they lose it.
I fully understand leaving a deposit, due to a lot of no shows and it’s not good for business.

Newtown Fish & Kebab house
3A Brindley St, Stourport-on-SevernWow! MY husband and I live locally but had never tried this chippy so when we finished work after working in the area we gave it a try. We weren't disappointed! The southern fried chicken was delicious, large thigh pieces and the chips were so moreish, being plentiful in portion size and good value for money. Heads up to the efficient friendly staff too. Will definitely go back when next passing.

75 Bewdley Rd., Stourport-on-SevernI had a voucher offering 40% off and fancied a Sunday roast without the cooking so popped into the Brinton Arms. I was served by Amy who was very good at her job. I had a large roast beef dinner and it was very good indeed. I will be back soon.

The New Inn
Shrawley, Worcestervisited today for sunday lunch after a walk in the woods. Service was brilliant and the food was amazing. A little gem of a place with a beautiful garden to relax in. Dog friendly too - loved the clips on the benches to hold the leads and the water bowls. 10/10.

We visited on New Years Eve and whilst it's fair to say it was exceptionally busy, the team did their very best to get us to our table asap (even though it was later than we had booked) and were very attentive throughout the service.
The food was incredible as always and delicious.
I think next year it's worth considering how many 'take aways' are offered but it wouldn't stop us from returning as we had a memorable time :-)

Just make sure to order off the website instead of JustEat because it works out to be a good chunk cheaper and it’s often faster.
Vegetarian options: There are also amazing veggie options, I never struggle to find something that I want to eat and often have to flip a coin to decide because it is all so tasty

The Three Lions
Foundry St, Stourport-on-SevernHighly recommend The Three Lions Sports Bar in Stourport on Severn. Since the pandemic we’ve been twice in two weeks to watch our team. The staff are so welcoming and we feel very safe there. It is immaculately clean and plenty of room to feel safe with ventilation. It’s very secure with intercom entrance and exit. We had decided to stay here for the night in order to avoid being in the car too long in 1 day as we live in Mansfield.
Needing somewhere to eat with our 2 young children, this place seemed ideal.
The staff on arrival were very pleasant, and the menu just what we needed. Being a chef myself, it's clear that the kitchen staff here know how to do simple food well, which is what the majority of people want these days.
The food is very good value for money and clearly the people who work here do a good job.
We will definitely return when we are next in the area.
If you haven't yet, then give it a go.

We tried a few new dishes we hadn’t had before and were really impressed with the quality and taste. You can tell the food’s made fresh, with proper care and attention to flavour. Generous portions, great variety, and perfectly balanced spices. Definitely one of the best takeaways we’ve had in a while - we’ll be ordering again soon!

Ive been there several times, meeting friends, who all agree with me too. Highly recommend by all my family and friends.

The two girls worked so hard felt sorry for them, they had obviously taken on to much with takeaway aswell. We waited around 2 hrs for some of the food to appear but then by time the rice and chips came our mains were lukewarm. They apologised and even gave us a free round of drinks. We could hear others moaning and one table walked out. Not the waitress fault they had took to much on in kitchen with takeaways aswell. We had so much to catch up on so we waited patiently. Yes I agree they took to much on but come on it’s NYE give them a break. Would still go back. Girls were lovely.x

Severn Pizza and Burger Bar

Before lockdown, a friend and I visited during the afternoon to find the door shut and locked with no sign or anything to explain why. It was open business hours including theirs according to Google. There was a meal deal advertised on the window that would end after 4pm and we wanted to take advantage of it. After some time, somebody came to open the door from outside, didn't apologise for our wait or explain why he was opening up now and told us the advert was old and that they don't do it anymore, to which I replied by telling him to take it down in that case and next time leave a sign to avoid wasting people's time. We went to Domino's a bit further up instead.Since then I have ordered Kebabs from them and they have been cooked well with little wait time and good value for money portions. So, so far so good but looking at the reviews, I would suggest they pay attention to their customer service more because there are plenty of other places to eat from and even though the customer isn't always right you don't want to be losing any especially in this economy.

Stourport Manor Hotel
35 Hartlebury Rd, Stourport-on-SevernHotel staff are lovely, the dog gift and bowls was a really nice touch.
Unfortunately the food and drink are very over priced, and the place is old and tired.
The room was nice but need abit more attention when being cleaned.
Even with the downfalls we would return as it was perfect for the dog.
