Probably the tastiest pub lunch (at the Stone Jug) that I can remember. The chef is in a class of their own. The chef prepared a salmon main course as well as the cheese cake dessert by hand. The meal was outstanding.The staff were very helpful to squeeze 2 of us in consideration we did not have a reservation.The atmosphere is nice and cosy.I would highly recommend the Stone Jug. Very much a local cosy village pub with a well-kept cellar and plentiful indoor outdoor seating. Didn't eat on this occasion but food is good fr9m previous experience. CAME HERE ON THE 26TH MAY CAME BY CHANCE, WE SHOULD HAVE BOOK BUT WE HAD TO WAIT ABOUT HALF HOUR WE SAT OUT SIDE IT WAS A LOVELY DAY. IT WAS SO QUITE THERE. THE FOOD WAS VERY GOOD I HAD A CHESSE SALAD MY DAUGHTER HAD POTO SKIN WITH CHESSE OIN AND SALAD AND CHIPS MY HUSBAND HAD STEAK PIE AND CHIPS AND BEANS THE PUDDING WAS GREAT T NEED TO BOOK RECOMMEND THIS PLACE THE STAFF WAS VERY HELPFULLY. WILL BE GOING AGAIN.
