Hallworth Dr, Stotfold, HitchinIt was my first visit after my Daughter recommended it. Although it's small you immediately feel welcome & at home. Service is brilliant as is the food. Prices are good too. Had a lovely chat with Emma who told us all about their journey. Will certainly recommend them to my friends & will be a regular customer.

The Crown
39 The Grn, Stotfold, HitchinAbsolutely fantastic little pub. Visited with the motorcycle group and the buffet laid on was really wonderful. The landlord was clearly passionate about local suppliers. All the staff and locals were really friendly. Thank you so much for hosting us.

Usually I'm skeptical about new places but across the board the reviews were great so I gave it a go, and I can confirm it was bangin', food was great every single thing I ordered hit the mark! My new favourite Chinese shop!!

A1, South, Hinxworth, BaldockGreat breakfast, and welcoming staff.Been there again today with a colleague. Was pleased to find as high a level of service, and food quality as previously experienced. Forget Baldock Services whether it's a sandwich or Sunday lunch you will not be disappointed. A small restaurant fighting back against corporate benileity, that needs our support, because when they're gone, they're gone, and it will be our fault.

51 High St, Stotfold, HitchinThe kebabs are always packed and the salad is fresh and crispy. Great guys that work there too, always friendly. Collection times are fast and the food is always hot and tasty. Best around, can't fault them at all.Parking: There's parking bays out the front about 8, so picking up in the evening is never an issue. Other close by parking if needed in the co op or along the road slightly.

The Stag
35 Brook St, Stotfold, HitchinWe went to The Stag for lunch with family, on the 3rd Dec. While everyone else, apart from the little neices, had the roast, which they all enjoyed, my Husband and I had pre booked the Christmas Menu. We both enjoyed our starters. He had the Korean Chicken, while I opted for Smoked Salmon with cream cheese. For the main my Husband relished the Lamb Shank. I had the Goats Cheese tart, served a bit collapsed, but that and the chips were nice, but I should have asked for a dressing for the dry salad. For the main he had a cheeseboard and also finished a niece's chocolate cheesecake with ice cream, called a Lumpy Bumpy! The rum and raisin ice cream I ordered wasn't available, it being too early in December, so I was asked to order from the regular menu. I opted for Apple and Blackberry Crumble, with custard, though I didn't find any blackberries. Nice local ales though.

149 Arlesey Rd, Stotfold, ArleseyHad a great dinner here tonight, Gary and the team were welcoming from the minute we walked in the door to the minute we were leaving. Great outdoors for children the twins loved the train and the food was great to. The pizza was amazing :-).Our love twins and mummies xx

Costa Coffee
Drive Thru, Astwick Service Station, A1, Stotfold, HitchinCalled in yesterday as passing on way up to Bedford; a nice little gem, the cafe was quiet but there were a few utilising the drive-thru.The place was nice and clean, toilets especially, the staff were very friendly and welcoming and the flat white that I took couldn't have been better.If you're looking for somewhere to stop along the A1 I recommend you stop here.

Chequers Pub
33 Queen St, Stotfold, HitchinPopped in for a drink with a friend. Very warm welcome. All staff extremely friendly. £10.99 for a bottle of prosecco. Presented beautifully in a flute with strawberries. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing. Didn't eat but the food menu looks amazing so will be back for that.
